Onca Explorations is an agency specialized in nature & wildlife observation expeditions and activities in southern Sinaloa. Onca headquarters is located in the city of Mazatlan, port of entrance to one of five marine ecosystems in the world with highest productivity and biodiversity, the Gulf of California.

Some of our expeditions serve as platform for wildlife research and conservation programs for several species, both marine and terrestrial, inhabiting the region. These are fundamental to generate a better knowledge on several aspects about their biology and ecology as well as the systematic monitoring of the ecosystems´ health.

Our Mission

Onca Explorations is an agency committed to the planet. Our programs allow the participants the opportunity to live a unique experience in nature while participating in nature activities and wildlife research along with a team of expert biologists, oceanographers and naturalists which share their knowledge on visited ecosystems, observed species and techniques used in its study.

We strongly believe that getting people deeply involve in nature by guidance and interpretation through close encounters with wildlife leads to an increasing awareness and sensitivity towards the way we see our planet and the ways we are connected to it. In addition, the knowledge generated through our research programs will contribute to a better utilization of the region´s ecosystems and faunistic resources.
